Upon making the purchase, one of the cashiers neglected to fill out the VAT-tax-free form. Instead, I was advised to seek reimbursement at the nearest airport. As a resident of the U.S. military base in Vilseck, Germany, this process has proven to be quite inconvenient.
After contacting the VAT office in Grafenwoehr, I was informed that the paperwork was filled out incorrectly by your staff. It appears that the tax should have been deducted before the total amount was finalized.
